Cannondale Evo Makes Sagan Even Faster

Sagan pulled out a nice "sprint" victory after "poor old Freire" (Phil Liggett) is caught within 2.5 km of the finish. Sagan can sprint and has some climbing legs. He's going to be a phenom! Nice props out to his sponsors in the interview too. I told you to look out for him!

Cav Talks With His Legs

After the stage up Mt. Etna, Francisco Ventoso claimed Mark Cavendish hitched a ride by hanging on to the team car for an extended period of time so as to make the time cutoff. In Stage 2, Cavendish was a little upset about Petacchi's lines in the final sprint. So, Cavendish answers with his legs in Stage 10 by coming up with a clean, Cavendish style victory.

Henderson Makes it 2 for 2 for Sky

Greg Henderson took advantage of the confusion on the run in at stage 2 at the Tour of California today. Matt Goss and Ben Swift were in position to fight out the sprint but the some jostling between Michael Matthews and Ben Swift led to a hard crash for Matthews. Goss, trying to avoid the crash, ended up in the crowd. Goss is unscathed, except for his beard, but Matthews didn't fare as well. He may not be able to continue the Tour. With Swift lost off his rear wheel, Henderson surged and couldn't be caught.

Ben is Swift....watch out for Sagan

Perfect control of the peloton on the last lap helped Swift and Sky take the victory at the 2nd(1st) stage of AToC. Taylor Phinney made some noise with his 8th place finish. And look out for Sagan....if he's improved his TT from last year, he can take a run at the podium!

Petacchi Pops and Ventoso Wins

It looked like Ale-Jet had another Giro stage victory in his hands and then he had nothing. Petacchi had to start the sprint on the uphill a bit too early after losing his leadout man, Danilo Hondo in the last kilometer. This proved too much for Petacchi, who stopped pedaling well before the line, opening the door for Francisco Ventoso to take the win. An odd ending to the day! Bring on the hills and the volcanos!
